I would implore the Pickled Pedallers cycling club, to see cycling now, as being as equally stupid, as running and or walking on our roads (where cyclists ride).
Such running or walking is very dangerous and is
hence made illegal.
Being a few cm higher and pedalling and with your
backs to the traffic, makes you no safer than a runner in
the same position would be.
In fact, you cannot leap out of the way of a car as easily.
Let us all stop this spooky nonsense, of a coming
"solidarity"
ride, over 95 km, for the latest cycling victim (dead) , right now.
Cyclists who have had near brushes with death are
now taking to our footpaths, often at great speed, causing
pedestrians huge alarm or injury. A $100 fine is coming
soon for that nonsense.
Any slow vehicle not moving at the same speed as the main traffic flow on the road, becomes an obstacle to every other passing vehicle obviously - and on the motorway there is a rule about that and I believe a fine. "We don't want somebody sitting back saying you're not holding the mop the right way. Why don't you grab a mop? Why don't you help clean up? ... That's a socialist mop. Grab a mop!
